We remove the piano legs and gently lay the instrument onto protective padding, then wrap it with extra protection — moving blankets, stretch wrap, and piano boards — so every surface is shielded.
We carry your piano out using ramps and floor dollies, then securely load and fasten it with safety straps inside the truck so it doesn't shift in transit. We also plan a route that minimizes vibration and excessive movement on moving day.
On arrival, we carefully take the piano out of the truck, bring it to the right floor, reassemble it, and set it up in its new spot. If needed, we can also help arrange tuning for your piano.
Pianos are expensive and heavy musical instruments. But above all, they carry sentimental value for their owners, which makes one treat them with utmost care and respect. If you need to move your piano across the city, our professional Toronto piano moving services are at your disposal. Contact us for a safe and time-efficient delivery regardless of the distance.
Moving a piano yourself is unsafe and can turn into a major financial setback. Despite looking like a piece of furniture, a piano has to be treated especially carefully throughout the entire transportation from one place to another, given the delicate wood frame, parts, and sensitive tuning. A small drop and your piano can be harmed. This applies to both grand and upright pianos, which need an equally careful approach.
Pianos are heavy yet fragile, and not knowing how to move them properly may damage the instrument’s sound. Hiring an expert team always turns out cheaper and safer. Our professional piano movers in Toronto guarantee premium quality services regardless of the piano type or size. We have experience in moving:
Our Toronto piano movers have the necessary tools and skills to safely transport these musical instruments from one address to another without damaging the piano or the people involved. They will load and deliver your piano properly.

At Move Pianos, we provide every client with full insurance coverage. Accordingly, we shall shoulder all the responsibility in case of any damage during the piano moving. Our company becomes in charge of the repair fees or replacement costs. However, during the years of our practice, no such case has ever been registered.
Our piano movers use the highest quality materials for packing pianos before they are loaded into the vehicles. Given the odd shape of a grand piano and the uneven weight distribution inside the instrument, a unique packing approach is required.
Generally, our piano movers choose the package setup based on the size and weight of the piano to be moved.
Another concern you must be interested in is the cost of moving your piano. On our website, you can estimate your order’s precise price to decide if it fits your budget. The on-site estimate service is free and doesn’t require you to place an order.
Our company has all the equipment necessary to move pianos of any size without causing the slightest damage. Whether you own a small spinet piano or a concert grand piano, we have an appropriate truck, all the necessary dollies, lifting and tying straps, as well as moving blankets and padding.

The cost of moving a piano in Toronto is based on a number of factors including the type of piano being moved, how far the piano needs to be moved, how many flights up or down the piano needs to be moved, and if additional services (e.g., storage) are needed. We will always provide you with a fixed price quote before we arrive to move your piano. The price does not change once on moving day.
