Three of the most important pieces that determine how a piano will be moved are the type of piano, the condition of access at both the pickup and drop-off locations, and the distance between them. Here's how the route changes the job:
A pretty simple job. The drive is short, so the price mostly depends on stairs and access at each end.
It takes longer and costs more than a York Region move, mostly because of the highway time.
City access at the delivery end: condo elevator bookings, parking near the door. We quote door to door once we have both addresses.

Spinet, console, studio upright, or professional upright: we treat them all with the same caution. What makes these heavy, tall pianos difficult to move on stairs is their weight distribution, so we use our specially designed dollies and moving boards to safely transport these pianos through all doorways, hallways, and off the truck with no scratches or drama.
Getting your grand piano safely moved involves disassembling the instrument, removing the legs, removing the pedal lyre, and removing the lid before wrapping those pieces in heavy-duty blankets and padding. Then our team loads the piano and reassembles it at the destination. We have experience moving every type of grand piano—baby grand, parlour grand, living room grand, and concert grand pianos—throughout the Newmarket area and beyond. There are specific handling requirements for each of the aforementioned styles of grand pianos that our trained staff have the expertise to manage.
Digital pianos may be lighter, but a digital piano is still a musical instrument and has to be moved delicately. This is important when the piano is placed on a weighted stand and also for pulling pianos into tight places and elevators in Newmarket condo and townhouse buildings. We also move other large musical instruments such as organs, harps, etc., using the same level of care and caution.
If your move-in date is not consistent with your move-out date, we have short- and long-term climate-controlled piano storage options.
