Quick answer

How much is it to move an upright piano in Oshawa?

An upright move in Oshawa starts from $360 for the smaller models (spinet, apartment-size, or regular) and from $450 for a heavy upright. That price is for a ground-floor move with at most three stairs, and wrapping and insurance are in it. Basement stairs past two flights, or a truck parked far from the house, add to the price. You see that amount in the quote first. Call (647) 509-5286.

Piano Moving in Oshawa, ON: Our Services

Upright Piano Moving

Older uprights are tall and heavy, and newer consoles and spinets are lighter but scratch just as easily. We tilt the piano onto a padded piano board, strap it down and move it upright on dollies, with blankets over the case and protection on your floors and door frames.

Grand Piano Moving

From baby grands to concert grands. We take off the legs, pedal lyre and lid, wrap each part separately, and the same crew puts the piano back together in your room before leaving.

Long-Distance Piano Moving

We also take pianos from Oshawa to Ottawa, Calgary, Vancouver and other Canadian cities. The piano rides in a climate-controlled truck, wrapped and strapped the same way as on a local move, and the delivery window is agreed before loading. Book about two weeks ahead. Long-distance moves stay inside Canada.

Piano Storage

Our climate-controlled storage keeps temperature and humidity steady and is monitored 24/7. It helps when one closing date doesn’t line up with the next, or when you haven’t yet decided where the piano will go.

What Piano Moving in Oshawa Costs

Every quote is one fixed number. We don’t charge by the hour: wrapping, floor protection, insurance and, for a grand, disassembly and reassembly are all in the price.

Crew & Access · every piano type

Add-ons are limited to three situations: stairs beyond the second flight, a building reachable only by elevator, and a far walk from the truck to the door. Each shows up in the quote with its amount.

Booking a Piano Move in Oshawa: Four Steps

  1. Tell us about the piano.

Send us the piano type, both addresses, the floor at each end, and photos of the tight spots: a turn on the stairs, a narrow side door, a long path from the driveway.

  2. Get the fixed price.

The estimate is free, by phone or online from your photos, and the price is confirmed as a fixed quote before you book. Once you accept it and pick a date, we hold that date; local moves usually need 3–5 business days’ notice.

  3. Moving day

We cover the floors and door frames, wrap the piano in blankets and stretch wrap, and strap it to the piano board. In the truck it stays strapped in place for the whole drive.

  4. Setup

We put the piano in the spot you choose, and in that room a grand gets its legs, lyre and lid back.

FAQ

Is Oshawa inside your local area?

Yes. Moves within Oshawa count as local and are priced from the table above. The quote also takes in the distance between the two addresses and the access at both ends.

Can you move an organ?

Organs are part of our specialty work, along with harps and drum sets. Give us the make, its rough size, and where it stands, plus a photo of the route out.

Do you tune the piano after the move?

We don’t tune pianos ourselves, and we don’t buy, sell, repair or rent them either: we only move them. After delivery we can recommend a tuner or arrange the tuning. Book it once the piano has adjusted to the room’s temperature and humidity.

Do you move pianos from Oshawa to Scarborough or Vaughan?

Both are local moves within the GTA, with prices from the same table. Our Scarborough piano movers and Vaughan piano movers pages cover each city in detail. If you are moving further, we also handle long-distance moves anywhere in Canada.
