Quick answer
Yes. In your home we remove the legs, pedal lyre, lid and music rack and wrap each one separately. The body is wrapped in heavy moving blankets, strapped to a piano board and rolled out on dollies. At the new address the same crew puts the grand back together and sets it where you want it. Disassembly, reassembly and insurance are included in the price: from $450 for a baby grand and $550–$700 for a semi-concert or 8 ft grand. Uprights travel in one piece, from $360, and from $450 for the heavy models. These are main-floor prices. Call (647) 509-5286.

Baby, parlour and concert grands, including Yamaha, Kawai, Steinway & Sons and Bösendorfer. We take each grand apart for the move and put it back together at your new address.
Organs, harps, drum sets, and digital or hybrid pianos are each wrapped to fit the instrument: an organ console and a concert harp have little in common except how hard they are to move.
From Oakville to Ottawa, Alberta or the West Coast, the piano makes the trip in a climate-controlled truck, packed and strapped as it would be for a local move. We set the delivery window with you before pickup and need about 14 days’ notice. Moves outside Canada are not part of our service.
Should your closing and move-in dates not coincide, the piano can wait in our clean, pest-free, climate-controlled warehouse, where temperature and humidity are monitored around the clock.
After the piano type, the quote depends on where the truck parks, how many stairs there are and how the piano gets through the house. Walk the route before you call and note these five things.
It might be a driveway, street, or building loading area. Tell us roughly how far it is from the door. A long carry adds to the cost, and you see that amount in the quote.
Count the number of steps to the entrance and measure the width of the entrance door.
The base price covers a main-floor move with up to three steps. Stairs beyond the second flight cost extra, and that line is in the quote before you book.
Small turns and tight corners on the stairs and in the hallway will affect the route much more than its length. Manoeuvring through them safely requires precision. A few photos often answer questions we would otherwise ask on the phone.
Which room, which wall, and which flooring? Tell us, and we’ll plan the last few metres around it.
Please attach photos along with the type of the piano and two addresses, and we will review the route before booking. The price quote is fixed and won’t change on moving day, as long as access matches what you described.

A relocation within the city needs 3–5 business days’ notice, and bookings are accepted throughout the week. Weekends get booked up faster than weekdays.
We wrap the piano and protect the floors and door frames at both addresses. In the city, an upright move takes 1.5–2.5 hours and a grand 2.5–4 hours.
Your piano will be carried into the room and placed against the wall of your choice, and a grand is reassembled right there. Give the piano time to adjust to the room’s temperature and humidity before you tune it.
We take bookings in all five Oakville postal areas: L6H, L6J, L6K, L6L, and L6M. Moving east? See our piano movers in Mississauga.
We send proof of insurance on request, so your building’s property manager has it before the move. You book the service elevator; we arrive in the agreed window and follow the building rules.
Your floors and walls will be covered in advance at both the origin and destination. The grand piano will be moved on dollies or a padded platform and never dragged across the floor.
Please inform us of it when you book the service. High-value instruments, such as grand pianos by Steinway & Sons and Bösendorfer, and valuable old upright pianos need to be mentioned at booking so we can arrange the right insurance coverage.
We do, in both directions, and it is priced from the same table as a local move. See our Toronto piano moving page for city addresses and our Etobicoke piano movers page for addresses in the west end.
Music schools book us the same way families and piano stores do. Send us the building’s loading instructions and the hours when the piano can be moved, and we’ll schedule the move around them.
